As always, it is a fantastic resort with all different levels of terrain, beautiful views, and a lovely group of people working there. We spent nearly a week here and it still didn't feel like we ran out of things to do (or beautiful scenery) - very worth the long long drive out from Calgary. To be honest, the gondola ride is a lot of fun and well worth the $70 CAD the views are incredible and you get so high up! Its like you are seeing a labor of someones love brought to life. I cant say enough about this magical place. Emerald Lake is just a few km off of the Trans-Canada Highway and is accessible to everyone who has a car. Amazing staff, beautiful property, delicious food. The Cambie Hostel Gastown is perfect if youre looking for a budget option! For even better views, you can take a short trail up to Bow Summit for an elevated, less crowded view. There are a few routes to take up the mountain, but the, if you have the time and are up for a challenge. We woke up in Jasper and headed to Maligne Lake and Maligne Canyon. I recommend taking your time on this road trip and appreciating each location along the route. Of course, this place includes an exceptional breakfast and is in a beautiful area outside Salmon Arm.
